Usage

Propylene glycol has many uses:
• As a solvent in a lot of medicines, for example diazepam which is insoluble in water is often dissolved in propylene glycol.
• As the main ingredient in the liquid used in e-cigarettes
• As a food additive with E number 1520 (usually as a humectant).
• Included in nicotine pouches along with sodium chloride and sodium carbonate.
• For diluting essential oils, for example, massage oils.
• As an emollient in skin cream.
• As smoking liquid in smoke machines.
• As a coolant and for de-icing aircraft.
• As hydraulic oil in hydraulic systems.

Storage - Propylene glycol

Store the container tightly closed in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area. Store separately from foodstuffs or incompatible materials.

Handle in well-ventilated spaces. Wear suitable protective clothing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid dust formation. Prevent fires caused by electrostatic discharge vapour.
